‘Why be basic?’: Kinder Bueno targets Gen Z in new £6m campaign

Kinder Bueno is targeting Gen Z and Millennials with a new £6m multi-channel creative set around the tagline “Why be basic, when you can be Bueno”.

On air throughout August, a linear TV advert will run from 5 August to 30 August.

The campaign will then roll out across out-of-home, social media and broadcast-video-on-demand until 6 October.

The key message behind the campaign taps into the Ferrero-owned chocolate bar’s multiple layers, contrasting it with more basic options.

The move comes as the brand is looking to build on its sales growth within the convenience space, where it is ranked as the third most popular countline in the market.

“Our new campaign aims to amplify Kinder Bueno’s presence to ensure it continues to be a must-stock item for all convenience retailers,” said a Ferrero UK spokesperson.

“It’s a popular product and we want to maintain sales momentum by putting Kinder Bueno front of mind among younger shoppers,” the spokesperson continued.
