Oxfam and second-hand fashion retailer Vinted will open London Fashion Week as part of the non-profit’s annual Second Hand September campaign.
Directed by Oxfam’s strategic communications lead Kehinde Brown, his year’s ‘Style for Change’ runway show will take place on 12 September and will feature famous faces sporting the second-hand looks and pre-loved clothing.
Since launching in 2019, Oxfam’s Second Hand September has spread its message about shopping more sustainably to thousands.
Each of the outfits will be available to purchase online via Vinted through Oxfam’s online wardrobe shop after the show.
“Oxfam are thrilled to have Vinted as our partner for our Style for Change fashion show, as part of our Second Hand September campaign this year. Together, we are on a mission to make second-hand fashion mainstream, so it is a wonderful and authentic pairing,” said Brown.

She added: “Our fashion show will be the ultimate display of sustainable fashion, which we hope will inspire people to discover the joys of second-hand clothing. Vinted has captured the mainstream and championed pre-loved fashion like no other online marketplace has.”
Vinted senior director of sustainability Marianne Gybels said: “Vinted aims to make pre-loved clothing easy and accessible to everyone and everywhere. Partnering with Oxfam for Second Hand September is a fantastic opportunity to advance our shared mission.”
“Together, we can collectively champion the tremendous potential of pre-loved fashion and inspire people to embrace second-hand choices, fostering a shift towards more circular behaviours,” she continued.
